We are looking for results-driven, team-oriented, self-motivated Senior and Lead Software Engineer to join our new WLN project. The aim of the project is implementation of the strategic platform solution, commonly referred to as Cobalt, an extensible technology platform and hosting environment for building and running general-purpose high-scale online browser-based applications and services. Cobalt follows a dynamic web 2.0 architecture style and related design principles. It promotes a consistent operational and infrastructure approach, architecture style and related design principles, guiding standards and practices. Using Agile methods and practices, you will be part of a development team defining and building Enterprise platform software that is leveraged by today's and future products of the Customer. We are using Continuous Integration, Unit/Integration testing (including automated testing) to make sure the quality of the product is constantly high. Using RESTful architecture, Cobalt platform provides high scalability and fail-over support. We pay attention to the code quality, since this is the foundation of the functionality. Code review is our standard practice. Test-driven development is highly encouraged. We care about being up-to-date with the latest technologies and constantly seeking for better solutions using technological know-how.

• Modern RESTful Architecture
• Agile methods and practices (Continuous Integration, 2-week iteration, automated testing, etc.)
• Unit Testing and Mocking Frameworks are widely used
• Code quality and test coverage are given high priority
• “Inversion of Control” principle widely used.

Rhino Mocks, Moq, StyleCop, JSON.NET;
Good level of English language allowing to effectively communicate with the Customer. Business trips to the USA are possible.


Develop and support Document module;
Adhere to Cobalt best practices, patterns and standards;
Participate in the full life-cycle of software development including analysis, design, implementation and testing of new projects and features;
Collaborate with architects and technical leads on design decisions and direction;
Contribute to project development estimates and timelines;
Work collaboratively in an agile environment;
Investigate and resolve issues in development, test and production environment;
Effectively balance and prioritize multiple projects concurrently;
Generate innovative approaches and solutions to technology challenges;
Being part of Cobalt module community: sharing knowledge with other teams, participating in planning meetings, answering questions, etc.

Project description:

There are several modules within the WLN project. The successful candidates are expected to work on the Document Module, an ASP.NET MVC module responsible for pulling documents from a data provider and displaying them to the user as well as corresponding JavaScript code to handle user interactions. This module supports transforming the data from XML into several output data formats using XSLT.
