I started using my new Windows 7 machine in June. Quickly in the early July, I find the databases mountaining the Applications view quickly regardless how many worksets I created. Didn’t find the reset workspace function in 6.5. And then I decided to clean that manually myself.
This post was helpful to remove all the worksets. link removed . Though it didn’t remove the projects in Domino Designer and if the workset is changed to ”None”, all the databases still show up.
I dedicate to clean up these shortcuts, otherwise it will impact my performace. Eventually figured out by myself.
1. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\Lotus\Notes\Data\workspace\.metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.core.resources\.projects
This is the local cache of all the databases opened in Domino Designer. Remove them first.
2. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\Lotus\Notes\Data\workspace\.metadata\.plugins\com.ibm.designer.domino.ide.resources
Edit the wsInfo.xml with your preferred tool – in my case, Visual Studio 2010. Remove all the <project> elements which compose the links in the Applications view, save it. Then open Designer, tata!! A clean one back again!
Note: please close Designer before editing the xml file because Designer will overwrite the wsInfo.xml with all existing database links everytime it is closed.
Still welcome any advice about removing them from UI with one click.
К сожалению для версии 9.0 это не помогло, если у кого-то версия ниже - дайте, пож-та, знать.
