Me too. I've been a Notes Developer since 97... and to be honest, the demand has dried up.
Our goal is certainly is to certainly offer some very interesting app dev enhancements to help increase demand for your skills ... you'll hear some of that today, more of it at Think
As we still in time to provide feedback about needs from our customers ?
we are always looking for and open to any feedback.
need timeframes and deliverables please
V10 arrives in 2018, deliverables are coming including charts being shown.
Domino still a fantastic product - but needs a ‘face-lift’
And it needs to go to the 'gym'.
What is GSKit?
Global Security Kit
are there any beta programs ?
Yes stay tuned!!
What is SAML?
SSO open standard for auth
some really exciting domino 10 stuff there
And we are just getting started!
+1 to the gym for Notes
Maybe even a 'personal trainer'
Would be great to have simple oauth.
Stay tuned on OAUTH
Will V10 improve handle calendaring with people outside of Lotus Notes? (For example invitations to and rom Lotus Notes
yes
Can we expect some improvements in development environment I mean Domino Designer ?Hello from Poland BTW
Yes
is that the final UI? not too impressed with the popup windows that look like something from windows 98 when you're demoing on a mac
Keep in mind we have only been in development for 9 weeks.
OAUTH and JWT please
We know, stay tuned.
What about integration with Connections?
We will continue the current Connections integration.
My screen is not showing slides?
Please refresh your browser by pressing F5 or Command R on a Mac.
wow to node
Just wait, we are just getting started with Node.js
better text formatting toolbar
We are working on this
oauth isn't as simple as just a once and done. each implementation is unique. building one for FB won't work with Twitter, etc.
We are looking at a framework to implement OAuth like Passport. Stay tuned.
How about GIT Integration ?
GIT is being looked into.
Black screen instead of slides
all slides should flow correctly again
sametime MUST be available on all devices. A Sametime chat needs to follow accross devices
it is something the team is working on as Richard said!
nothing new
This is not the entire roadmap, just a sneak peak.
Can you explain the ipad application little more, what does that do exactly?
Come to Think and see . . .
Are the black tiles less prioritized than the yellow ones?
Not at all
For the client, will Outlook be fully supported?
EWS is on the list.
Liking so far what I see for the client...many things users have been asking for
Thank you there is still more to be unveiled at Think!
What is the e-search?
ElasticSearch
Will IBM and HCL be doing joint strategy sessions at IBM Think?
Yes
Is there a ROADMAP for Domino X... for us to make decisions on our futurs developments?
This year
what is EWS?
Exchange Web Services, open APIs from MS to communicate with Outlook and Exchange
Can you elaborate on the Open IDE?
Visual Studio, MS Code, xcode . . .
Why do you improve the Notes Client - why not Verse? I thought it's the "revolution of e-mail"?!
We have many Notes Client users as well as a strong emerging Verse On Premises base. We'd like to focus on both constituencies.
Is Docker already supported with Domino 10? or is it roadmap vision?
Docker is supported starting in FP 10. Packaged Domino Docker imagers are what we are planning for V10
Do we (as customers) continue to invest in Connections? What is the #2025 roadmap for Domino/IBM Connections?
There's absolutely reason to continue investing in Connection, most particularly because of the Pink evolution. But we won't be covering that roadmap today -- enough to cover just with all the new info
Sound falls out...
If you have any problems hearing the audio or seeing the slides, please refresh your webcast console by pressing F5. You must have Flash installed, as well as a sound card and speakers or headphones. You can watch the event on Android and iOS tablets and phones without Flash.
How much of this new info came out of IdeaJam?
Virtually all of it. There were a few features for Notes Client already in flight but the vast majority came out of the Jam.
boom! #mindblown Love Loopback!
Loopback is the BOMB
Great, Jason! I love that stuff! GoGoGo!
I only know one speed, you know that!
Does the Node.js Visual studio require the notes client to be installed on the machine?
No
Xpages are yet supported?
XPages still fully supported and we will have more at Think
For the Outlook support, you mentioned EWS is on the list, when outlook will be supported
EWS will allow Outlook to talk to Domino and think that it is Exchange.
Spinning wheel instead of a slidshow from Jason
:-( it is a nice video
Will there be plenty of demo code coming to help developers?
Yes
Again - Domino app dev for Connections apps?
Connections Pink and Domino Node are effectively the same framework; so yes, Connections Apps.
How about support for Raspberry Pi for Domino?

that would be a lot of fun to do.
MAC support for EWS/Outlook?
This is being looked at very, very closely.
Loopback looks good, but very very many questions about security, server side event handling, hide/show for different fields being exposed to different audiences, etc.
and we will answer them, we are just getting started on this journey so stay tuned . . . and help us with your ideas.
Will the Node / Loopback functionality allow validation of data before POST is accepted / filtering of content from GETs / "joins"?
mixins are part of the Loopback framework that can do just that.
I thought Gary Jason left IBM?
I did, I went to HCL.
Nice Demo, Jason... looking forward to seeing more.
Thanks, lot to do for sure.
xpages only supported or will you continue xpage development
both
Got in late, did I miss the NSF2 discussion?
we are going to be investing in NSF and evolving it.
Missed the poll results. Can you post?
The on-demand recording will be available after the event for you to review the poll results.
how could one control npm package dependencies? I.e. can an admin whitelist packages?
That is the intent.
Nothing discussed so far about updating lotuscript with http/https calls, dns, calls, and json handling.
tell me what you would want
ICON UK in September
go to ICONUK.org for another great conference to attend.
Can you do application development on a Mac or a Linux machine
Well the node side will certainly support whatever client you want to do app dev on.
Loopback API is like a Connections Pink stack feeling?
It is exactly that.
Is Domino 10 going to be available for admins and devs to freely download evaluation versions like Microsoft? Which really helps to everyone.
Yes we have the Community server today for non-production work and it will be updated for V10
The Loopback connector is cool. Look forward to auth being implemented. (I know it s on the way).
Have to work on auth/auth.
See you guys all at SNoUG 2018 !!!
Yes you will.
They did NSF updates, new indexing, 256 GB limit, and more.
and that is just the start
Is Source Control going to be handled through something like GIT??
We are looking into Git now. We have Swiper integration now and it will be updated for V10
Any plans for supporting GraphQL? So that we could query the data of a notes database using GraphQL queries and mutations.
It is being looked into. GraphQL is very workload intensive so it is something we have to navigate.
what is the actual nsf limit in domino 9?
64 GB will grow to 256GB in V10
can node.js be used in the domino designer developing xpages?
We are only 8 week into development. Don't have all the answers yet. Tell us what you want.
I like what I've seen today
Good, we are just getting started.
Is it safe to call Domino 10 DominoPink?
Is Dom Doc still dead?
We shall see. Funny enough I wrote quite a bit of it.
Jason ... the REST demo was great !
Thanks, just getting started.
with regards note.js stuff great, total lack of discussion around updating lotuscript is bad. Once again, feels like the new gets the attention to the detriment of the old.
I'm not opposed to updating LS. Tell me what you want.
Is there a GIT integration?
We are looking into it.
How will the MacOS be supported on client.side ?
There will be a Mac OS Notes client in V10 and it will have full parity with the WIndows client
Any plans to integrate an query language like on other DBs (couchbase)?
If we have support for Elastic Search in the future that will certainly give you a strong ability for queries.
Any domino cluster improves?
Yes many we will show more at Think
what's your fav soap opera?
The Young and Restless
How about support for React and/or Angular?
React, yes, Angular . . . nah. Stay tuned.
What about LotusScript?
Not opposed to updating LS.
Any plans for making NSF support Graph data?
It is an interesting idea.
Will it support calling RESTful web services from the back end, like SOAP services can be now?
Yes
Will your EWS implementation support StreamingNotifications, and when will it be deployed in SmartCloud?
We are just getting started in the EWS area but I and the team are well aware of streaming/notifications in EWS.
Would you ever drink instant coffee?
I don't drink coffee, but maybe if you served it with a smile
what about Smart Cloud? How does this affect SCN?
there are enhancements coming SCN .. but it's not the focus of the call today.
What is the answer to life, the universe, and everything?
9
Can someone please explain the IBM "love affair" with the color pink?

(I like it, don't get me wrong - just curious)
It is a long story. Lots of people on this call know the answer.
"I'm not opposed to updating LS. Tell me what you want." How about Threads?
Amen, simple ones like VB6 implementations. Not the .net VB threading model which makes my head hurt.
Is Yellow back in fashion?
Yellow is the new black!
Not to out-do Jason's pink suit, but will you guys be rocking any interesting garb at Think?
Is that a challenge
I'm interested in the Visual Studio integration. Will LotusScript be done through that interface?
it is an area we are looking into
Nothing to show or to say about new Notes Client look and feel?
More to come in this area....
Funny to see DomDoc mentioned -- we have 2 clients still using it via the web interface
DDoc never dies.
Impressed on the details shared here! We need to somehow get the value Domino gives communicated to the market. Hope IBM will pitch in on this...
Point taken.
If bringing Domino.Doc back to life - please make sure the API is more robust and supporta multiple parallell threads.
Ha, good point.
Will node.js JavaScript help integrate Connections Files in Domino Workflows
